This Shipping Policy governs how Thamarai manages the delivery of food and beverage orders placed through our online ordering systems or directly with our restaurant (“Orders”). By placing an Order, you agree to this Policy.

 

1. Delivery Areas & Availability

1.1 Service Areas:
Delivery is available only within the specific service zones defined by us. During order placement, you will be informed if delivery is available to your address.
1.2 Delivery Hours:
Delivery is offered during our operating hours as displayed on the website or app. Orders placed outside these hours may be scheduled for the next available delivery window.

 

2. Order Preparation & Dispatch

2.1 Order Confirmation:
Once your Order is placed and payment is confirmed (if applicable), you will receive a confirmation. Estimates of preparation and delivery times may be provided, but these are approximate only and not guaranteed. Delivery timing may vary due to traffic, weather, distance, order volume, and other operational factors. 

2.2 Dispatch:
Orders are prepared at the restaurant and dispatched for delivery by our own delivery personnel or our trusted delivery partners.

 

3. Delivery Times & Estimates

3.1 Estimated Delivery:
We aim to deliver Orders within the estimated timeframe provided at checkout. Delivery timing can vary based on peak hours, weather, traffic, and other unforeseen circumstances, and extended delivery times do not automatically entitle you to a refund. 

3.2 Customer Availability:
The estimated delivery time assumes that you or your authorized representative will be available to receive the delivery. Delays in accepting delivery may result in longer delivery times.

 

4. Delivery Charges

4.1 Delivery Fees:
Delivery charges, if applicable, will be displayed at checkout. These charges may vary by location, order value, and delivery distance.

4.2 Taxes:
All applicable taxes, including GST, will be applied as required under Indian law.

 

5. Receiving Your Order

5.1 Accuracy of Address:
You must provide accurate delivery details. If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional charges or rescheduling may be required.

5.2 Proof of Delivery:
For assisted delivery, delivery personnel may request a signature or digital acknowledgment upon delivery.

 

6. Delivery Exceptions & Issues

6.1 Late Delivery:
While we strive for timely delivery, we cannot guarantee delivery within the estimated timeframe. Delays caused by external factors (e.g., weather, traffic) are outside our control. 

6.2 Failed Delivery Attempts:
If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive the Order, the delivery will be returned to the restaurant, and you may be charged or required to schedule redelivery at our discretion.

6.3 Quality Issues:
If you receive an incorrect, missing, or evidently poor‑quality item, you must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery for resolution. Evidence (e.g., photos) may be requested.

 

7. Delivery Partner Responsibilities

7.1 Trained Personnel:
Where Thamarai directly employs delivery personnel, we ensure they are trained to handle food safely and professionally.
7.2 Third‑Party Delivery:
Where third‑party delivery partners are used, Thamarai coordinates with them to facilitate delivery, but cannot control every aspect of the delivery process.

 

8. Risk & Title

8.1 Risk of Loss:
Risk of loss and title for Orders passes to you upon delivery of the items to the delivery address specified in your Order.

 

9. Governing Law

9.1 This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the city where the restaurant is registered.
